For a studio with such a small team the trainer for their new game leaves me nothing short of stunned. No Man’s Sky comes from Hello Games, the creators of popular indie title Joe Danger and there is certainly no resemblance between their previous title and their new one.
A stunning full 3D world, or should that be “world’s” in of offer for would be explorers. Randomly generated galaxies, planets and planetary surfaces abound, and while exploration of land, sea, air and space does seem to be prominent, the real fun looks to be ship-to-ship combat.
In a recent interview with Polygon, Hello Games’ Sean Murray said “It’s a huge game. We wanted to make a game about exploration. And we wanted to make something that was real.”
Ambitious is a huge understatement, the trailer looks awesome and we really can’t wait to get our hands on this game. No release date has been revealed, but late 2014 to early 2015 would be a good estimate.
