Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Surpasses 4 Million Players

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has reached a new milestone in registered players, according to data published by Microsoft in its latest Xbox fiscal report (thanks VGC). The new adventure from MachineGames, based on the Lucasfilm Games license, has recorded over 4 million players since its launch. This number was reached within just a few weeks, considering the time frame covered by Microsoft’s data.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This figure does not solely represent sales, as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was made available directly on Game Pass, which played a crucial role in driving record growth for the subscription service last quarter. Players accessed the game via PC, Xbox Series X|S, and cloud gaming.
The game was launched on December 9, 2025, but it is unclear if the recorded player count was measured by the end of the fiscal quarter on December 31. If so, this means the 4 million milestone was reached in less than a month—roughly three weeks—indicating a strong launch for a Game Pass title.
A Strong Launch and Future Expansions
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella highlighted the game’s extremely positive reception, confirming that it has already been played by over 4 million players. While he did not provide further details, he listed the game as a key factor in Xbox’s growth, alongside Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
As for sales, the game’s performance will become clearer after its PlayStation 5 release in spring 2025. Meanwhile, fans are looking forward to its first expansion, The Order of Giants, set to launch in the coming months.
Additionally, in December 2024, Microsoft was the top gaming publisher worldwide, with 64% of its PlayStation revenue coming from Xbox-owned games.
