It looks like Activision are wising up to those who sell their extra content codes, as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will require you to insert the Infinite Warfare disc if you want to play the bundled Modern Warfare Remastered game. This really sucks for a lot of people, as it means you can’t sell the additional download code if you don’t want it, while also meaning you can’t buy a from someone who doesn’t want it either, obviously.
Those who buy the game digital won’t have this problem, of course, it will only apply to those who hold a retail copy of the game. So when you fire up the remaster, it’ll verify your purchase with the other disc, meaning you can’t install the download code then trade in the disc and keep playing.
It’s already pretty clear that a large part of the gaming community don’t want the new game, they want the remastered game, but Activision is making sure that if you’re in for one, you’re in for both, and you can bet a lot of people will be upset about this move.
