Logitech is planning a new version of their popular G Pro X Superlight gaming mouse which has today had information and images revealed of what to expect from the 2nd variant of the popular gaming mouse.
This new G Pro X Superlight 2 has been revealed by the German news site winfuture and shows off the unreleased lightweight gaming mouse with several improvements over its predecessor. Visually this controller appears the same with three colour options of white, black and magenta, all of the improvements are within the mouse with its specs and most importantly, weight. The G Pro X Superlight featured a weight of less than 63g and this new variant has managed to cut that down slightly to 60g, a minor but welcome improvement for competitive players.
The Superlight 2 also makes use of the new Hero 2 sensor which features an increased DPI of up to 32,000 with a maximum acceleration of “more than 40g” and a signal rate of 2000Hz or 0.5ms. The previous Hero sensor that was used on the Superlight 1 offered 25,600 DPI with the same 40g max acceleration but had a slow signal rate of 1000Hz or 1 ms.
Logitech has also improved the 70-hour battery life of the Superlight and increased it to 95 hours of continuous operation which is pretty solid. This battery is charged by USB-C, thankfully not Micro-B, and can also be used to operate the mouse in a wired form if wireless isn’t to your liking.
Supposedly this mouse is expected to launch in the coming weeks with a retail price of around 160-170 Euros and will be available in black, white and magenta though no word on a red variant that is available with the previous generation.
