Inno3D is introducing an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU that fits into a single slot, aptly called the GTX 1050 Ti 1-slot Edition. The GTX 1050 Ti uses a 14nm GP107-400 GPU and does not require extra power other than from the PCIe bus. It also runs at much cooler temperatures than older-generation GeForce cards so a large cooling system is not required. It measures 211mm long and is 99.8mm tall. The height fits exactly 1-slot, although the screws securing the shroud to the heat sink actually protrudes a few millimetres.
Inno3D uses a metal shroud that exhaust air at the front and rear on the GTX 1050 Ti 1-Slot Edition. The PCB is actually very short and only runs up to the tip of the PCIe connector. However, the custom heatsink extends the video card length further. The fan does not sit directly above the GPU area but is actually positioned mostly above the aluminum heatsink. There are also ventilation near the back of the shroud since there are no exhaust areas in the rear IO.
Understandably, the clock speeds follow the reference model’s 1290 MHz base /1392 MHz boost. It also has 4GB of GDDR5 running at 7000MHz effective clock rate on a 128-bit bus.
At the rear, there is a Dual Link DVI-D, HDMI 2.0b, and a DisplayPort 1.4 connector. It supports a maximum resolution of 7680×4320 at 60 Hz RGB 8-bit with dual DisplayPort connectors or 7680×4320 at 60 Hz YUV420 8-bit with on DisplayPort 1.3 connector.
Inno3D did not give any official information regarding pricing and availability yet. The average NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti retails for £139.99/$139.99 USD, but it is safe to say this single slot version will be priced higher since that is normally the case. Specialised designs usually carry a $10 to $20 premium on average.
