NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is here and Inno3D is announcing four different custom versions of their own. The full range includes the GTX 1070 Ti TWIN X2, JET edition and the flagship models iChiLL X3 and X4 series.
Inno3D GTX 1070 Ti TWIN X2
It should be obvious from the name, but the TWIN X2 version uses a pair of 90mm fans. This allows for quieter operation since it does not have to run at a higher RPM like a smaller 80mm fan. Plus it uses a curved blade design for optimal noise-to-airflow ratio.
Inno3D GTX 1070 Ti JET Edition
The Jet Edition is the version which uses the typical blower-style fan. Unlike the Twin X2 series, there is only one fan and it exhaust all air to the rear.
Inno3D GTX 1070 Ti iChiLL X3 and X4 series
The iChill series is the flagship option providing the best air cooling out of all others. It uses three 90mm fans which do not move when the load is low enough. The X4 and X3 differ in the type of blade it uses. The X3 pictured above uses three Scythe blade fans similar to the Twin X2. The X4 pictured at the top of this article on the other hand, uses three 92mm turbine fans and has an extra 50mm fan on the side. This ensures that the VRM and memory get directional cooling. The iChill series also features RGB LED indicators on the side for the load power level. It turns red on full gear gaming, while low power gaming lights up green. For normal applications, the LED indicator turns blue instead.
