Inno3D Reveals Liquid-Cooled GeForce GTX 1060 Graphics Card

The very first GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card that ships with a factory-fitted liquid cooling solution is the iChill GTX 1060 Black, which was announced by Inno3D not too long ago. It’s worth mentioning that this is the 6GB version of Nvidia’s GTX 1060 GPU, the one with 1,280 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs, 48 ROPs and a memory interface of 192-bit GDDR5. The card comes with a custom-designed PCB, the same one used on the GTX 1060 iChill X3, while the cooling solution is a factory-fitted Arctic Accelero Hybrid AIO model. To be specific, the Accelero Hybrid boasts a pump-block that makes direct contact with the GPU, while a secondary heatsink takes care of heat dissipation for the memory and VRM.

The block is complemented by a 120 mm x 120 mm radiator and a 120 mm fan, both of which are perfectly capable of keeping the card cool through its factory-overclocked speeds of 1569 MHz core, 1784 MHz GPU Boost, and 8.20 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. Power-wise, we’re looking at an 8-pin PCIe power connector, which was to be expected given the overclocking that we mentioned before. As far as outputs are concerned, the liquid-cooled GTX 1060 by Inno3D offers one HDMI 2.0b, one dual-link DVI port, and a trio of DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. No word on pricing just yet, but considering the cooling solution, it will probably be much more expensive when compared to conventional, air-cooled models. Also, given Pascal’s incredible efficiency, the GTX 1060 doesn’t run hot at all even with cheaper cooling solutions, which is why some might consider the liquid-cooling to be a bit of an overkill.
