Yesterday, Inno3D announced an update to their graphics cooling solution. Dubbed iChill X4 Ultra for the top-tier cooler, the new coolers will be used for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. Today, Inno3D has teased us with what appears to be their iChill GTX 1080 graphics card.
Continuing with the trend of illuminated cards, the iChill GTX 1080 features two rows of LED lighting. From the release of the iChill Ultra X4, we know that the LED lights aren’t just for show and will likely respond to GPU loading. You can also see the triple fan solution for the iChill cooler. Given the markings, I suspect that these are the X4 variants, with 3 92mm Turbine fans that cool 123 fins. There is also an additional 50mm fan but it’s not visible in the teaser.
While the teaser is meant for the GTX 1080, I suspect we will see the same X4 cooler or perhaps just the X3 for the GTX 1070 as well. Aesthetically, the two coolers should be quite similar. The iChill GTX 1080 is expected to feature 8+6pin PCIe power connectors which should allow users to push the limits. I can’t wait to see how a fully unleashed GTX 1080 will perform like.
