Inno3D Unveils The iChill SLI-HB Bridge

NVIDIA’s most recent Pascal architecture is an absolute powerhouse and the company recommends users to deploy their new High-Bandwidth SLI bridges to achieve maximum performance. Apparently, the revised bridges are capable of transferring data at 650MHz while the older flex cables could only reach up to 400MHz. While this might not translate to huge differences in frame-rate, you should experience less stutter leading to smoother gameplay. Of course, it’s not just NVIDIA who’s making the bridges, and companies like MSI have already developed their own versions. Recently, Inno3D unveiled their SLI-HB bridge, created from a CNC-milled aluminium top cover with diamond cut edges. There’s also an airflow guide which minimises the bridge’s obstruction to intake/exhaust to the top graphic’s card.

Please note the bridge doesn’t incorporate any kind of illumination and opts for a more subtle finish. As you might expect, it’s compatible with the GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and Titan X Pascal.  The Inno3D branding should make it a good fit alongside a premium Inno3D graphics card such as the iChill X3. Sadly, the company didn’t reveal any information on pricing but expect to pay a fairly hefty fee compared to the ribbon-style SLI bridges.

Do you think SLI is still worth the investment?
