Instagram Threads Breaks The 100 Million User Barrier

Instagram’s new Twitter Competitor Threads has now reached over 100 million users in just a few days.
Threads Reaches 100 Million Users
As reported by the Independent, Instagram Threads is now the fastest-growing social media app ever. The details surrounding this were shared regularly by Mark Zuckerberg himself on his Threads page even claiming that the results were “way beyond our expectations”. The growth of this app has even surpassed ChatGPT which took two months to reach over 100 million users setting a monumental record Other Twitter-like apps have struggled to even touch this high of a number such as BlueSky which was even founded by Twitter’s founder Jack Dorsey. To be fair though I imagine the ease of using your Instagram account made growth an easier task combined with the rubbish that Elon Musk is pulling over on Twitter really making people want something better which Threads looks to provide.
Angry Musk
On the topic of Elon Musk, in response to Threads, he has tweeted “Zuck is a cuck” and “I propose a literal D*ck measuring contest” and no, it is not from the fake account. Additionally, Twitter has supposedly threatened to sue Meta according to Reuters with the claim that Meta stole trade secrets to build threads and claimed Meta had hired former Twitter employees and deliberately assigned them to Threads. A spokesperson from Meta followed this claim by saying that nobody from the Threads engineering team is a former Twitter employee. If Twitter goes through with this case legal experts claim that proving Meta stole trade secrets will be very difficult due to the nature of such things.
Well, Twitter is an absolute mess but Threads seems a bit more sane with the added dash of Meta’s questionable history surrounding data privacy but hey it’s the internet. If you have decided to leave Twitter because of the absolute cesspit of hell that it is and would rather give Threads a try, be sure to follow our page for the latest news and updates.
