Google Octane 2.0

Octane 2.0 is a benchmark that measures a JavaScript engine’s performance by running a suite of tests representative of certain use cases in JavaScript applications.

Google Octane now on Google Developers.

Google Octane is a web browser-based test which again shows a small uplift in performance on the i5, which leapfrogs the 7600X and 7950X from AMD, as well as the 12900K and 13700K from previous generations, while the i7 sees a larger increase in performance of 5%, pitching itself just above its i5 counterpart, which also sits just below the i9 parts, where the 14900K has an increase in performance of 4% over the 13900K.

Mozilla Kraken 1.1

Kraken is a JavaScript performance benchmark created by Mozilla that measures the speed of several different test cases extracted from real-world applications and libraries.

Mozilla Kraken now on Github.

Mozilla Kraken is very much the same story with some small increases in performance which lead to faster times to complete. The i5 shaves its time down by 8% putting it closer to the i7 from the last generation, while the i7 sees a small reduction in time of 4%, which puts it just ahead of the 13900K, which moving up to the 14th gen, now takes top spot on our chart with a 4% reduction in completion time.

WebXPRT 4

WebXPRT 4 is a browser benchmark that compares the performance of almost any web-enabled device. It contains HTML5, JavaScript, and WebAssembly-based scenarios created to mirror the tasks you do every day: Photo Enhancement, Organize Album Using AI, Stock Option Pricing, Encrypt Notes and OCR Scan using WASM, Sales Graphs, and Online Homework. Use WebXPRT to see exactly how well different devices handle real-world tasks.

Mozilla Kraken now on Principled Technologies.

In our last web browser test WebXPRT, improvements are there of around 6% when looking at the uplift from the 13600K, but more importantly, this further extends the lead over AMD’s top tier CPUs while both the i7 and i9 see smaller improvements of around 2% which just further widen their lead over team red.
