The reveal of Intel’s 14th Gen Raptor Lake refresh processors is coming soon with an expected reveal date of October 16th. We are already aware of the specs of most of these processors and the next question is how much of a price increase will we see with these processors?
Information on the new prices for the Raptor Lake Refresh was spotted on canadacomputers.com and shared by VideoCardz and we now have an idea of the price increase over the previous generation 13th gen chips. Canada Computers didn’t have a listing for the 14900K but there were listings for the 14900KF through to the 14600KF with an average price increase of around 4.5%.
Starting with the 14900KF, this chip is priced at $779 which is a 5% increase over the 13900KF at $739.
The 14700K which is the only CPU here that has seen an increase in core count from 8P+8E to 8P+12E and with that has come a price increase of just $10 from $579 to $589. The KF variant of this chip has increased from $529 to $549.
The 14600K has seen a 7% increase in price from $419 to $449 although the KF variant of this chip will remain the same price as the 13600K at $399.
This refresh is obviously not something that will interest someone already on 13th gen, but those looking for their next upgrade may like the sound of the 14700K with its increased core count over the 13th gen counterpart.
