Earlier today, we reported that Intel and AMD are collaborating a new chip series; combining Intel’s 8th Gen CPUs with AMD Radeon graphics, plus HBM2. The fruits of their partnership, though, seem to have leaked already, and are dubbed Kaby Lake G. If the leaked documents are genuine, the Intel Core i7-8809G and i7-8705G specs suggest Radeon Polaris chips, rather than AMD’s new Vega architecture. In addition, we have the first benchmarks for Intel and AMD’s Kaby Lake G chips.
According to WCCFTech, the Core i7-8809G and i7-8705G boast the following features:
WCCFTech also features a number of engineering sample benchmarks for the two processors. First, we have an i7-8809G benchmark via GFXBench:
Then follows a Geekbench benchmark for the same processor:
For the i7-8705G, we’ve an Ashes of the Singularity benchmark:
Finally, there’s a comparison benchmark for i7-8705G and i7-8809G, via 3DMark:
