Intel Arc A750 GPUs Are Being Sold for Nearly Half-Price in Japan!

Despite the fact that recent driver updates have notably improved the performance of Intel’s Arc graphics card platform, I’d still honestly struggle to recommend any of them as a consumer purchase. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not bad by any stretch, but given the rather terse MSRP values Intel has set across the range (and particularly so among the ‘higher-end’ models), I just honestly believe that (right now) you can get better value for money and performance from Nvidia or AMD.

Following a report via Videocardz, however, it seems that the Intel Arc A750 is currently undergoing something of a fire sale among Japanese retailers as images have been posted online showing masses of the graphics cards being sold for just (after conversion) $150. – And just to put this into context, this is very nearly half of its official $289 MSRP.

Intel Arc A750 – Fire Sale Spotted in Japanese Retailer!

Now, being fair to Intel, I should note that they did recently confirm a price drop of the Arc A750 from £289 to $249. And let me stress the point again that the Arc A750 isn’t a bad entry to mid-tier graphics card. It just about trades (fairly even) blows with the Nvidia 1080 Ti and typically sits somewhere between the Nvidia 3060 and 3060 Ti. No, not exactly cutting edge, but this clearly shows it’s no potato either.

Despite this point, however, the price has been and still remains a huge sticking point for many consumers. Not to mention the fact that, quite unsurprisingly, Arc does seem to run slightly better with Intel processors making AMD Ryzen consumers a little nervous about even considering trying one out.

For $150 though? Hell, I think I’d buy one just as a backup option! – My 1080 Ti isn’t getting any younger and as their driver platform matures, the Arc A750 could get even better! – I have to admit though, even at this price, I’m hoping the source provides us with another image in a couple of days just to show us how many of those Arc A750s are still sitting there.

What do you think though? Would a $150 price tag tempt you to buy an Intel Arc A750? – Let us know in the comments!
