Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition Listed for Sale in Europe!

Officially speaking, Intel’s Arc A770 and A750 graphics cards shouldn’t actually start to go on sale until tomorrow. – It seems, however, that one retailer in Germany hasn’t apparently gotten the memo as following a report via Videocardz, they’re already listed the Arc A770, and more so, it would appear that the GPU is available to order (with the immediate shipment) right now!

Intel Arc A770 – Available to Purchase?

The listing (via German retailer Geizhals) had not just the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition available to purchase immediate (with shipping apparently to go out at the same time – 2 days ahead of its formal release), but it also provides the full detailed specifications which Intel was somewhat vague on during their initial reveal late last month.

No sooner did the listing go live, however, than the stock pretty much instantly vanished. Even for its notably high price of €430 (the official Intel MSRP had a somewhat vague ‘starting at $329). – In this regard though, this is the Limited Edition reference version which Intel did always indicate would cost more than the ‘starting at’ price which, somewhat unusually, is more anticipated to be closer achieved/seen from AIB partners.

Worth A Buy?

At this point, it’s still unclear as to how good (or bad) the Arc A770 really is. A few benchmarks have leaked online suggesting it’ll sit somewhere between the Nvidia 3060 and 3060 Ti, but at the time of writing, we are still pending some full and formal checks and particularly so in regard to extensive comparative testing.

I have to admit though, there is something tempting about the Intel Arc A770. Even, if nothing else, as a bit of a collector’s piece. It just looks good. – At the moment though, my biggest question still remains as to whether these are optimised for Intel’s processors or whether AMD Ryzen will get an equally fair shake of the stick.

We will, of course, be ready to give you some full test results as soon as we can!
