We are just days away from seeing Intel’s new Arc B series graphics cards in action. The second generation of Intel’s independent graphics will debut with the B580 model on December 13th. Until then, the exact performance data of these mid-range Intel Battlemage cards remains under wraps. However, some early data has already surfaced, such as test results in OpenCL and Vulkan, placing the Arc B580 close to the performance of the NVIDIA RTX 4060.
OpenCL Results Show Strong Performance
The specifications for the Intel Arc B580 have been confirmed, and the card has now been spotted in Geekbench, where the performance results from graphics tests provide interesting insights. In OpenCL, the B580 scored 98,343 points, positioning it very close to the NVIDIA RTX 4060 in terms of raw performance. This result suggests that Intel is aiming to deliver competitive performance at a more affordable price point.
Vulkan Performance Surpasses RTX 4060
In the Vulkan test, the Intel Arc B580 achieved an impressive score of 103,445 points. This result not only places it on par with the RTX 4060 but actually surpasses the NVIDIA card’s performance in this particular test, showcasing the potential of Intel’s new offering.
Intel’s goal with the Arc B580 is to compete with established models like the NVIDIA RTX 4060 and the AMD Radeon RX 7600XT, offering similar performance at a lower price. However, we’ll have to wait just a few more days for additional details, such as how the Arc B580 will perform in gaming scenarios, particularly with Intel’s XeSS 2 and XeSS LL technologies. All will be revealed when the model launches in just four days.
