Intel Arrow Lake-HX Leaks Reveal 24 Cores and 5.5 GHz for Laptops

Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake-HX CPUs, aimed at high-performance laptops, have been leaked. According to Jaykihn on X/Twitter, six new models, including the 285HX and 275HX, are set to push laptop performance to new heights. These new CPUs are expected to offer up to 24 cores, with a maximum turbo frequency of 5.5 GHz on the flagship 285HX model. This series is designed to power gaming and workstation laptops, delivering an impressive leap over Intel’s previous generation.

What to Expect

The 285HX, the flagship model, features 8 performance cores (P-cores) and 16 efficiency cores (E-cores). The P-cores can hit a turbo clock of 5.5 GHz, while the E-cores max out at 4.6 GHz. The slightly lower-tier 275HX has similar specifications, but its P-core clock speed tops out at 5.4 GHz. Both models are equipped with integrated GPUs sporting 64 execution units (EUs), operating at 1.9 GHz for the 275HX and 2.0 GHz for the 285HX.

Lower-end models like the 265HX and 255HX will feature 8 P-cores and 12 E-cores, with clock speeds reaching 5.3 GHz and 5.2 GHz, respectively. The base models, 245HX and 235HX, will scale back to 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores, with turbo frequencies hitting 5.1 GHz.

Intel’s Arrow Lake-HX chips are expected to continue the company’s trend of pushing the limits of mobile CPU performance, giving gaming enthusiasts and professionals powerful options in the laptop space.
