Intel Claims i9-13900K Beats the AMD Ryzen 7950X By Around 11% in Gaming!

The Intel core i9-13900K is set to be officially released today and this will, of course, coincide with a lot of independent benchmarks appearing online (watch this space). – With AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 already being well established, however, one of the biggest questions will undoubtedly be where Intel’s new Raptor Lake platform sits in direct comparison.

Well, following a report via Videocardz, a leaked slide from an Intel presentation has shown them suggesting that, in gaming performance, the i9-13900K will have the beating of the AMD Ryzen 7950X by around 11%!

Intel Directly Pits the i9-13900K Against the Ryzen 7950X

Showing benchmarking results from around 12 different gaming titles, Team Blue is claiming that, on average, their i9-13900K will beat the AMD Ryzen 7950X by a margin of around 11%. Now, while this is hardly a massive gap between them, the bottom line is that Intel seems pretty confident that their new flagship CPU is going to quickly retain the crown as the King (or Queen if you prefer) of single-core gaming performance.

What about in terms of workloads though? Well, overall, even Intel seems willing to admit that both processors are about on par with each other. AMD wins some battles, their i9-13900K wins others.

What Do We Think?

Given that these benchmarks have been produced by Intel, you do, of course, have to take them with a grain of salt. It’s not as if they’d allow any notably unfavourable figures to be showcased to media partners after all. – With them set to hit retail shelves today, however, rest assured that we’ll be telling you exactly what we think of the i9-13900K, and especially so how it compares to Ryzen 7000, as soon as we can!
