Temperatures
Thermals are a key point to any processor, as it allows it to boost for a prolonged amount of time and depending on the task that’s being performed, thermals can be either higher or lower. To get the best possible picture, we have recorded thermals for idle, during a simulated Cinebench R23 load test, and during a typical gameplay benchmark run of Cyberpunk 2077.
In terms of temperatures, it’s no surprise that more cores and threads equal more heat and again, AMD seems to have the upper hand here, though during gaming load, it’s nigh on identical to the Ryzen 9 7950X, and it’s only really in the Cinebench torture test where things are a little higher, due to the limits imposed by Intel but still no real cause for concern.
