Gaming Performance
Gaming performance on the Intel i9-7980XE is pretty robust, it’s not always the fastest, but at both 1080p and 4K resolutions, it’s certainly competitive. That’s a great thing to see, as this isn’t really a gaming chip and those buying it for a gaming rig may be a little bit bonkers in my opinion, simply due to the cost. However, it’s getting great scores here and even more so while overclocked. Of course, with all those extra cores and threads on tap, those doing gaming related content creation can add-on streaming software, overlays, rendering, and much more without cause for concern.
