With the recent launch of the Intel Core Ultra 200K for desktop computers, Intel is now focusing on its high-performance laptop processors based on this silicon: the Intel Core Ultra 200H and HX. These processors are set to power gaming and professional laptops, showcasing notable performance improvements. This high-end processor range, part of Intel’s Arrow Lake lineup, has been optimized for reduced consumption while still delivering top-notch performance.
The Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, the most powerful in this upcoming laptop series, appeared on Geekbench, a well-known platform for CPU performance testing. This processor achieved 2,665 points in the single-core test and 15,330 points in the multi-core test. However, Intel’s range won’t stop here; the Core Ultra 200 HX is expected to exceed this performance, featuring higher TDP and core configurations.
Additional details on Geekbench reveal that this processor has a 16-core configuration, divided into six high-performance, eight high-efficiency, and two ultra-low-consumption cores. With a TDP of 45W, this model is the lower-powered option among the Intel Core Ultra 200H processors. The Core Ultra 9 285H can reach a boost frequency of 5.4 GHz, up from a base of 3.7 GHz, and it offers 24 MB of L3 cache. The processor was tested in a Dell Pro Max 16 laptop equipped with 64 GB of DDR5 RAM at 6,400 MT/s.
