Earlier today, VideoCardz unveiled a document listing the full specifications for Intel’s Core X CPU range. While VideoCardz cannot verify the authenticity of the document, it is confident that the numbers line up with what its hearing. According to the image, the seven Skylake-X processors (three already released) fail to stack up against AMD Threadripper, at least as far as price is concerned. Details follow.
For comparison, AMD Threadripper 1950X boasts 16 cores, 32 threads, 64 PCIe lanes, 3.4GHz base clock, and 4.0GHz boost, all for $999. The i9-7980XE, meanwhile, costs double that amount.
