Intel has pushed back the release date of its next-generation Core Ultra 200 series processors, originally set for October 17, to October 24. The delay was first reported by HKEPC, with several sources confirming this shift in the timeline.
Initially, Intel’s Core Ultra 200 “Arrow Lake-S” desktop CPUs were set to debut on October 17 alongside the Z890 motherboards. However, due to unspecified reasons, Intel has decided to delay the launch by a week. Despite this shift, the processors are still expected to launch within October.
According to HKEPC on X/Twitter (thanks WCCftech), Intel has not provided any official explanation for the delay. Speculation suggests that this additional week may offer Intel and its partners more time to polish the product or stockpile inventory, ensuring a smooth launch.
The retail launch is now scheduled for October 24, and Intel’s Core Ultra 200K processors will be available at retailers by then.
These CPUs will feature Intel’s new Lion Cove/Skymont architecture, promising improved performance across the board, with up to 24 cores and clock speeds reaching 5.7 GHz. The delay might frustrate some consumers, but many believe the extra week will help Intel deliver a more polished product.
