Intel i9-12900K Appears for Sale on Amazon’s Dutch Website

The Alder Lake-S processors are likely set for launch later this month with a release date currently rumoured for November 4th. With this in mind, therefore, excitement is certainly starting to build for Intel’s 12th-generation of CPUs. While benchmarks leaks have certainly indicated a decent level of performance, however, for many consumers one of the biggest questions is how expensive they’re going to be. While we have had some indications regarding that appear online, however, following a report via Videocardz, Amazon’s Dutch-based website is already listing an Intel i9-12900K with European pricing!

Intel Core i9-12900K

When compared to prior price leaks for the Core i9-12900K, this one is notably more expensive than seen before. Quite substantially so by around €200 in fact. It is, however, likely that the listing here may have been an engineering sample that crept into a certain Dutch individual’s hands, and they decided to quickly cash in on it. – On the other hand, however, this might indeed be indicative of what this processor may cost in Western markets. A price which, in fairness, probably wouldn’t surprise many!

And just in case you’re curious, the listing is still live (albeit, sold out), but you can check it out via the link here!

Seems Legit

One of the more interesting aspects of this Amazon listing is that it does appear to confirm a prior leak we saw only a couple of days ago regarding the potential packaging of the Intel Alder Lake-S series. However, since the sale has concluded, we can only presume that this i9-12900K must have been sold pretty quickly. Albeit, whether this listing was legitimate or not has been called into question as the clock speed listed does not appear to match the expected specifications of this CPU.

So, in other words, you’re going to have to make your own mind up, but perhaps this is our most accurate window to date as to how expensive the i9-12900K is going to be!
