Intel i9-13900KS Listing Suggests Price Over 20% Higher Than the i9-13900K

At some point during or slightly before CES 2023 (January 5th to January 8th) Intel is expected to confirm the launch of more of their Alder Lake processors, and, according to some sources, this might even result in them just announcing every single remaining model from the series. In other words, we might see 16 processors launched en masse and one of which will be their new Core i9-13900KS flagship design.

And in regards to the i9-13900KS, interest in this CPU is exceptionally high and particularly so since it has been long rumoured that this will represent a pre-binned design with a 6 GHz clock speed right out of the box! – With so much performance though, surely this will come with a price tag to match? Well, following a report via Videocardz, the answer (unfortunately) appears to be yes.

Put simply, the i9-13900KS is expected to cost over 20% more than the i9-13900K!

Intel Core i9-13900K

According to a new listing made by retailer PC-Canada, they have a confirmed price of $971.99 (around $750 USD) for the upcoming Intel Core i9-13900KS which clearly not only indicates how much we can (roughly speaking) expect it to cost, but also that this will almost certainly represent one of the CPUs set to be announced in early January.

What about that price though? Well, yeah, it’s high for sure, but in terms of performance, this will undoubtedly represent the most potent gaming CPU on the market which, from this point of view, does kind of bring it a little better into perspective. Particularly since, as noted above, this will come with a ludicrously fast 6 GHz clock speed right out of the box.

What do you think though? Would you spend this kind of money on a processor? – Let us know in the comments!
