Earlier this week Intel formally confirmed the upcoming launch of pretty much the vast majority of its remaining SKUs from its Raptor Lake processor line-up. With this being said, however, one model was notably absent from the announcement. Namely, the highly-anticipated i9-13900KS. Featuring a 6 GHz pre-binned clock speed right out of the box, this CPU undoubtedly, or at least very potentially, represents the most potent processor set to hit the market.
So, with all this in mind, where is it exactly? Well, following a report via Videocardz, information has appeared online suggesting that Intel is likely planning to conclude its CES 2023 announcements by launching the i9-13900KS. Yes, in other words, this CPU looks likely to be confirmed and launched within the next week!
The information comes predominantly from two sources. Firstly, in part via sources citing Intel, and secondly, by the fact that a Chinese retailer briefly listed the i9-13900KS available on their website. Featuring all relevant specifications and marketing data, which they could’ve only got from Intel, it seems pretty clear that the i9-13900KS is imminently set not just for launch, but also for a subsequent release in the very near future!
Yes, this might admittedly be people putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5. The stars do, however, seem to be aligning for Intel to close out their CES 2023 announcements by launching the i9-3900KS in a basically separate and dedicated event. A decision which, in fairness, makes a lot of sense given that this is set to be their new flagship CPU which you wouldn’t really want muddled alongside their prior launch earlier this week of 10, shall we politely say, somewhat less exciting models.
All going well though, and within the next week, we’ll finally get confirmation from Intel for the upcoming i9-13900KS, and make no bones about it, we’re very excited to see what this CPU might have to offer!
