Intel Is Discontinuing Its Arc A770 Limited Edition Cards

Intel has announced that it is discontinuing its own model Arc A770 Limited Edition cards.

Now to get it clear and out of the way, they are not discontinuing the A770 entirely as they will still be creating silicon for AIB partners, this reveal is the discontinuing of their own Limited Edition A770 cards. The reveal was shared by PCGamer.com which states that June 20th is the final date for orders and shipments of Intel-made Arc A770 cards for distributors and retailers. This is a rather interesting move but at the same time, I can’t say I’m surprised considering how much they market the A750, especially in their driver update articles. The A770 arguably isn’t an attractive card to customers especially when compared to the A750 which appears to offer much more value for money with its several price drops and performance updates.

Going back to AIB partners, I don’t see them dropping off the card anytime soon although Sparkle recently surprised us with their return to the gaming GPU market with Arc Alchemist cards and don’t have a A770 listed on their website though they did have a concept for a water blocked card and Titan card at Computex as shared by wccftech. It is entirely possible that these cards will never reach retail in light of Intel not having confidence in them anymore and with Battlemage on the horizon.
