Intel Is Rumored to Be Launching Battlemage for Desktops Next Month
Solomon Thompson / 2 weeks ago
When we talk about the next generation of graphics cards, 2025 seems to be the expected timeline, as most manufacturers appear to have decided to push their launches to next year. However, Intel, the newest player in the discrete GPU market, seems to have other plans and may launch its next generation of graphics cards this year.
According to a post from well-known leaker Golden Pig Upgrade on Weibo, Intel might surprise us with the Battlemage generation of graphics cards as early as next month.
Leaked Message Hints at a Sooner Release
The message reads, “Looking forward to the wonderful performance of Battlemage (desktop) next month.” This direct translation from Chinese suggests that Intel will be releasing Battlemage next month. This is in line with rumors that Intel may have its new second-generation graphics cards ready before Black Friday.
The new Intel Battlemage have been quite hidden in terms of rumors, and we have heard about them thanks to their drivers and support for Linux. Despite these rumors and leaks, we have not known performance data on what we can expect with this next generation. Perhaps Intel with this announcement wants to get ahead of the competition, since NVIDIA with the RTX 50 Series and AMD with its Radeon RX 8000 Series will, according to rumors, go to 2025.
