Earlier this month information appeared online suggesting that Intel was set to use their ‘Innovation Event’, scheduled for September 27th, as the key platform to announce their new 13th-gen Raptor Lake desktop processors. – Now, this certainly seemed like a pretty solid piece of information. Particularly since subsequent news said that AMD would release their Ryzen 7000 processors on the exact same day (which has now been categorically confirmed).

Is this actually how things are going to pan out though? Well, following a report via Videocardz, the answer appears to be a yes as a leaked slide from the latest Go To Market (GTM) roadmap has Intel Raptor Lake’s launch scheduled for September 27th!

Intel Raptor Lake Desktop Processors – Sept 27th Launch Locked In?

Based on the information, it appears that Intel is looking to take a staggered launch approach for its initial Raptor Lake models with, in no surprise, the i9-13900K representing their key flagship launch on September 27th. – The slide does, however, go even further by suggesting what date the CPUs might be released (as in, hitting retailers and available to purchase).

  • September 27th – Raptor Lake Launch
  • September 27th – i9-13900K preorders open
  • October 13th – Intel i7-13700K & i5-13600K preorders open
  • October 20th – Retail availability for the aforementioned models

So, just to recap, it seems that Intel Raptor Lake will indeed be launching on September 27th, and more so, they’ll be commercially available to purchase on October 20th. – With Ryzen 7000 recently launched, however, and set to release much sooner, you do have to wonder exactly what consumers are going to do in this latest CPU war!

What do you think? Which CPU are you planning for your next purchase? Who is currently tempting you more? – Let us know in the comments!
