Intel have high hopes for the NUCs and see them as being future proof and trend setting PC systems. They claim the motherboard used inside them is of “desktop” calibre.
The back gives you a more detailed look at the rear I/O and a little bit about the NUC philosophy.
Opening the box up we find it very neatly packed in very colourful packaging, it even plays a little Intel jingle when you open it which is set off by the optical sensor at the bottom right.
Inside is a VESA mount with screws, a manual, some documentation, a Celeron sticker (this will change depending on which CPU model you have) and a power brick without the mains cable. This is because the NUC is an international product so plugs will vary by region. Be wary that you may need to invest in a power lead for the power brick, be sure to check with your retailer of choice about this if you are unsure.
