We can see the Celeron 847 with its two cores and two threads at 1.1GHz easily outperforms the old Atom D525 dual core four thread 1.8GHz processor. The performance is still a bit mediocre for a desktop replacement in my opinion and we can see Gigabyte’s BRIX with a Core i5 is almost four times as fast. That said the performance is admirable all things considered but I can see the value in the Core i3/i5/i7 models over the cheaper Pentium and Celeron variants.
