Intel Reveal Their AR Glasses – The Remote EyeSight

As more and more people reveal their explorations into virtual reality and augmented reality, it would seem like sometimes we are losing our grip on reality but that won’t stop companies finding better ways to bring together our technology and lives on a daily basis. The latest company to reveal their interest in the market is Intel, announcing their latest interest in AR glasses.

The AR glasses, titled Remote EyeSight, will be revealed and showed off as part of their TechChat next month. Remote EyeSight will be shown off as part of the companies collaboration suite for WebRTC video capabilities, creating a platform for secure, cost-effective and hands-free augmented reality technologies.

The idea behind the collaboration will be to create a platform that will reduce costs and allow people to collaborate all over the world in real-time. With the ability to chat through microphones, video calls and displaying your colleague’s computer screens without even leaving your chair, maybe the time of projectors and giant board room meetings will be over soon.

With little to no information aside from a rendering of the glasses, shown above, Intel is playing it close to their chest about just what the Remote EyeSight glasses will be capable of.
