According to the latest rumours, Intel will be powering two upcoming Lenovo smartphones. A new report has surfaced, teasing that two new smartphones will be announced in the first quarter of 2015. These two handsets will be powered by Intel’s 64-bit Atom processors, but they’ll also be featuring LTE-Advanced abilities, too.
We should expect the first device to be announced in January and aimed at emerging markets, so don’t expect a crazy smartphone there. The second launch is destined for China, and should be announced a month later in February. This will mark the first time Intel’s 4G technology has been used in a phone sold in China. Intel has big plans for the Chinese smartphone market, so teaming up with Lenovo could spell big business for 2015.
