Intel Silences Rumours of Core Ultra Price Hikes

Recently some rumours have been spread surrounding a price hike of Intel’s products following the rebranding to Core Ultra.
Intel Price Hike Rumours
Rumours of a price hike with Intel Core series processors were first shared by German site pcgameshardware which involved a letter that was sent to wholesalers and retailers claiming to be from Intel that stated “all core processors that are currently still on sale or in production should become more expensive”. This letter included 12th gen, 13th gen, 14th gen and the upcoming Core series processors. This news is obviously not good for consumers, however, it is fortunately not true. In a statement to PCGH Intel denied that the letter was ever sent to customers.
“In general, Intel does not comment on speculation about price changes in its portfolio. However, we can confirm that Intel has not sent the described letter to customers or partners and has not made any price change to its CPU portfolio at this time. We have no further comment on this one.” issue”.
For now, it doesn’t look like Intel is intending on any price hikes for the foreseeable future which is good news for us consumers. Though with the current economic climate, it definitely isn’t something that can be entirely ruled out.
