Back in May, we reported that Intel’s Core i9-7980XE CPU is set to be an 18-core monster. Last week, a leaked Core X-Series spec sheet confirmed the news. Now, the i9-7980XE release date is known, thanks to Intel. Chipzilla announced the release date at the Chinajoy 2017 conference, according to WCCFTech.
WCCFTech’s Hassan Mujtaba reports that the Skylake-X Intel Core i9-7980XE “Extreme Edition” is slated for an 18th October release. The i9-7980XE is Intel’s most powerful chip, both in terms of performance and power consumption. Accordingly, it carries an exorbitant price: $1999 (US Dollars).
