A Closer Look

By pressing the button at the bottom of the armrest, you can make it rotate backwards out of the way. It has a single locking point that holds it in the correct spot when it is upright.

A bit higher up on the armrest is another button, this one’s used to adjust the height of the armrests and has six different height options.

The armrests are a 5D design, featuring the ability to move in and out, forward and back, the ability to rotate and the two movements previously mentioned, height adjustment and being able to move it out of the way.

Just below the headrest is a blue fabric with a Backforce logo on it, this is purely aesthetic but does look nice.

Just below that is the portion of the backrest that your shoulders will be resting on. Unlike the rest of the backrest, which features the same soft fabric as the seat, the shoulder part is made up of a grid of leatherette cushions.

The headrest features a debossed logo on a leatherette cushion, with blue stitching around the edge that provides an accent colour and fit in with the overall design.

One of the legs on the chair features a Backforce logo and word-mark on the brushed aluminium. Whilst this is entirely aesthetic, I do admit that the detail is appreciated and adds to the premium feel of the chair.

The blue stitching featured all over the chair looks and feels premium, it adds to the colour scheme and makes it feel more uniform across the chair.

Included with the chair are patches that attach with Velcro, the ones included with the chair are branded ones for the chair.

When ordering the chair you have the option to customize the labels for an extra fee, you can see here that we have eTeknix branded ones attached to our chair.

Customizing the patches is very easy; you simply select the colour you want each part to be, the text, background, and frame. You can also type whatever you want within a twelve-character limit and get a preview of how your selections look.

Last up is the gamer pulse, this is also customizable but has no configurator, you’ll be doing it yourself. The lighting has three modes; static light, breathing and off. The gamer pulse only has one option for colour, it’s just a simple white light, and while it does have a nice effect. I can’t help but feel it’s a little pointless since you’d never see it when sitting on the chair, unless you set up a complex series of mirrors around the room.
