The chassis comes with a mixture of textured metal and well finished plastics that offer a fairly uniform grey colour. While that doesn’t sound too exciting its more a dark aluminum finish and overall it looks pretty decent. The left side panel comes with a raised section with an embossed InWin logo on the side, its a nice bit of flair and a bit of a change from the typical front of chassis stick-on budget that you usually see with a chassis. The left side has a large vertical air vent and this allows for side mounting of 2 x 120mm fans (optional). The top of the chassis there is a hot swap dock where you can drop in a 2.5 or 3.5″ SATA drive.
The front of the chassis looks like good quality brushed aluminum, but don’t be fooled! It is in fact just plastic with a very nice texture, but at least it does actually look pretty good.
Above the 3 x 5.25″ drive bays are the usual I/O ports and buttons, as well as a handy Turbo button, which is a basic two speed fan controller.
Here I thought I would give you a closer look at the plastic front panel finish, even up close it looks pretty good.
The right side panel features a 1cm raised section, this adds a little style but it will also provide valuable room for cable management.
Around the back we have two cable routing cut-outs along the top, a 120mm exhaust fan and 7 expansion slots. The top expansion slot is reusable but the lower 6 are “snap-off” design. There expansion slots are offered extra security thanks to a screw on cover plate on the right hand side.
The top section of the chassis features a large air vent section, perfect for providing extra heat exhaust either passively or with the aid of an optional 120mm exhaust fan.
The underside features four large and durable feet and two dust filters. The filters are a bit poor and can be awkward to remove and reinstall but to have them at all on a budget friendly case is still a welcome feature.
Behind the front cover, which is difficult to fully remove due to the front panel cables, we see there is another 120mm dust filter for the preinstalled 120mm air intake fan, but there is also a space above that from a 2nd 120mm fan (optional).
