InWin Mod in Taiwan Event – Quick Look Video
Peter Donnell / 8 years ago
The InWin Mod in Taiwan event is already well underway, and what a day it has been so far! The teams wasted no time in getting the cases stripped down and were cutting and hammering away with a fury for hours, but with only 24 hours build time to work on their mods, we expect they’ll have to keep this pace up until the end.
We couldn’t do a vocal tour of the floor today, as the noise levels were borderline unhealthy, but when multiple drills, jigsaws, Dremels, air compressors and more are running, that is something you have to expect.
Check out the video below, but please be warned, it’s extremely loud and you should turn down your speakers before hitting the play button. In the video, you’ll see the organised chaos that is the main modding room, where each team has several tables for modding their chassis, hardware components and more. This is what the room looks like after a few hours, so the final day should be quite entertaining as all these random chunks of PC get put back together.
You’ll notice some very cool stuff happening too, with the cutting of side panels, folding of metal sheets, custom radiator mounts, water blocks and a whole lot more, enjoy!
There’s little visual progress right now, as a lot of core work such as braiding cables is still underway, but we’ll give the guys some room and check back in with their work for the start of day two.
