InWin Polaris RGB LED Silent Case Fans Now Available
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
The InWin Polaris RGB LED fans which the company displayed at Computex is now available. Just like the Aurora fans released last month, the Polaris RGB LED fans are daisy-chainable. Which means users can hook multiple units together, minimizing wires. Unlike the Aurora however, the Polaris does not come with an RGB controller. In fact, it does not need it. However, users can hook it up to an ASUS, MSI or Gigabyte motherboard with a 4-pin RGB header.
InWin Polaris Construction
To make sure that the LED shines through, the Polaris fans use a round transparent frame. The seven-blade impeller is also transparent, allowing for the LED coming from the center hub to flow through into the frame. The only part that is not transparent is the corner mounts which have rubber padding for vibration absorption.
Each Polaris fan operates at a range of ~500 to ~1280 RPM via 4-pin PWM. At the top speed, it produces 43.31CFM of airflow and 1.26mm/H2O of static pressure. All at just 20.2dBA.
Pricing and Availability
InWin did not reveal pricing yet. It is not even on their e-Store list. However, the product page is up. Also since it does not come with an RGB controller box, it might even be more affordable than the $89 USD Aurora 3-pack. In fact, users will be able to purchase the InWin Polaris in single or two-pack versions.
