It took a while but IO Interactive is announcing that their popular series Hitman is getting a Game-of-the-Year edition. It is arriving on November 7 and will include everything from Season one plus several new bonuses. All of season one includes seven locations, more than 700 challenges and over 100 hours of gameplay.
The new GOTY edition also brings a new campaign called ‘Patient Zero’. It includes a four-mission campaign spanning different locations in the game. Each one re-worked from the original settings with new gameplay opportunities, disguises, characters, challenges, gameplay mechanics, AI behaviour and HUD elements. Bangkok, Sapienza, Colorado and Hokkaido look and feel completely different with a new time of day and new custom music created by the composer for Season One, Niels Bye Nielsen. Help Agent 47 stop a global pandemic from breaking out further.
As much fun as Agent 47 is in his default suit, he is even better with new costumes. The GOTY edition includes three new ones with matching escalation contracts. Corky the Clown, a fan favorite from blood money is back complete with his red wig and a new bat. There is also a new Raven suit with the Seiger 300 Ghost for sniper operations. Lastly, Agent 47 gets a slick set of Cowboy attire with sunglasses and albino alligator boots. This is paired with The Striker magnum pistol, which although compact, packs a mean punch. It is even capable of knocking back targets and has piercing rounds.
Existing players can get the GOTY edition through a $20 upgrade, while new players will be able to buy it on November 7 for $60 USD. It is available simultaneously for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Even if you do not get the GOTY edition, a free game update patch will also launch on November 7 for existing owners. You can read all about it in the official announcement blog post from IO Interactive.
