CES 2016: We’ve seen all kinds of weird and wonderful things at CES this year, but IONVR is a little bit of both, as it’s certainly cool to use, but completely bonkers to look at. Only joking, that thing up top is a bit of a prototype, the real unit is the one you see below, basically think of Google Cardboard, and make it out of a plastic housing. It’s super easy to use, your phone straps in with ease, it can adjust to different screen sizes and you’re set to go. For those who want a VR quick fix, devices like this are great, almost like a gateway drug to full fat VR experiences like Oculus and VIVE, but also great for those times you need a simple demonstration or a VR representation of a project you’re working on.
The headset is nice and comfortable, it’s lightweight and it works with Android and iOS for maximum compatability.
