Apple released updates to both of its operating systems yesterday (Monday). The updates bring a number of bug fixes and tweaks that should solve a few of the usual teething problems a new OS brings.
For most iOS users, there won’t be much in the way of a difference, except for those using the iPhone 4s and iPad 2 – the two oldest devices capable of running the new version of iOS.
The release notes say that there are “increased stability and performance improvements” for the two ageing devices. These tweaks should be welcomed by those holding onto their 4s and iPad 2, as there have been a number of complaints concerning how sluggish the new OS can be on them.
On another related note, the company also released OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1 at the same time, bringing some fixes to WiFi issues some users were experiencing, among other smaller tweaks.
