Apple not only announced the iOS 5 at the “Let’s talk iPhone” event but as the event name would suggest it also gave an in depth look at the new upcoming iPhone, the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S looks very similar to the iPhone 4 except the whole unit is a much more powerful device. The inclusion of the new A5 chip which is used in the iPad will bring 2X faster CPU performance and the dual core graphics part will bring up to 7X faster graphical performance, meaning a particular improvement is noted in gaming. Combine the new A5 powered iPhone 4S with the new iOS 5 and consumers can expect to see a significantly faster and more functional phone. Although not 4G ready the iPhone 4S will offer twice the download speeds of the iPhone 4 with a HSDPA compliancy of 14.4Mbps versus 7.2Mbps of the iPhone 4.
Improvements do not stop there however, the camera was next to get a revamp moving from a 5MP camera on the iPhone 4 to an 8MP camera on the iPhone 4S along with an improved lighting system which gives 73% more light and a shutter system that is 33% faster. 1080p video recording is also supported which is a fantastic feature for such a small device. The iPhone 4S also comes with two inbuilt Antenna’s so if one is to fail the iPhone 4S can intelligently switch to the other working one.
