iPhone 7 Predicted To Have Water Proofing and 12MP Cameras

Apple’s latest handset is set to be unveiled during a Keynote on September 7th and as the event draws closer, more details are being leaked about the iPhone 7. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 7 will have a waterproof rating of IPX7 and powered by a completely new Apple A10 SoC which operates up to a speed of 2.4GHz. Additionally, the screen sizes appear to be the same as last time measuring 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches. Saying that, the panels ‘copy’ the visual aspects of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and can display wide-color imagery.

On another note, the storage options will be altered and now feature 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models and bundled an additional 1GB RAM on the iPhone 7 Plus. Please note, the iPhone 7 should have 2GB of RAM which means the iPhone 7 Plus will have 3GB. KGI also went on to discuss the phone’s optics and claimed the iPhone 7 will use a 12MP camera and the iPhone Plus takes advantage of dual cameras which enable optical zoom and ‘light field camera applications’. The iPhone 7 Plus’ camera features optical image stabilisation and employs a 6P lens. Apparently, Apple upgraded the flash from two LEDs to four which should improve photographs in low-light scenarios.

As predicted, the phone won’t have a 3.5mm jack and relies on Apple’s proprietary lighting connector. According to KGI, Apple will include Lightning EarPods and a Lightning 3.5mm to Headphone Jack adapter to alleviate people’s concerns.
