IRDM Reveals New PS5 Compatible NVMe SSD

IRDM, a European company has expanded its portfolio of PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSDs with a new drive which is designed for the PS5 console, the IRDM Pro Slim.

The IRDM Pro Slim is a twin model of the IRDM PRO M.2 SSD and is instead offered without a heatsink making it compatible with the PS5 console. The drive offers read/write speeds of up to 7000/6850 MB/s and comes with a DRAM buffer of up to 2 GB. It uses a high-tech eight-channel Phison PS5018-E18 controller and is available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities giving plenty of room for PS5 games.
