Samsung is reportedly developing a new phone for its range of current phones with a 5.3″ screen which is due to be released at some time in September. The phone is named the “Galaxy Q” and is expected to debut at the International Consumer Electronics show in Berlin. If the reports are true the Samsung Galaxy Q will be the largest Android Smart Phone in production. The current largest Android Smart phone is the 4.5″ Infuse 4G.
If this phone comes into production it will be very interesting to see how both the phone and tablet market respond as in essence Samsung is starting to redraw and blur the boundaries between Smart Phones and Tablets. Soon we could see a situation where the products become interchangeable because of the similarities in size and functionality. Watch this space.
