It looks like it’s not just Battlefield that is moving away from modern warfare for a while, as new rumours suggest that Sledgehammer Games is working on the new Call of Duty game, which will be called Call of Duty: WWII.
This is an interesting move, as it was the earlier war scenarios like this that made the game so popular in the first place. Will returning to its roots be enough to keep up the sales momentum the game is known for or has the market grown tired of the franchise? I don’t know, but I’m eager to see if this is “the good one” we’ve been waiting for.
While we always say take a rumour with a pinch of salt, this one does come with some solid credits to it. It was leaked by the same person who accurately leaked Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare last year, but again, keep the pinch of salt on standby.
