After a long break AMD’s Never Settle program has been brought back. Today AMD have officially taken the wraps off a new Never Settle Forever offer for its R7 and R9 series graphics cards. The offer covers all desktop graphics cards from the R7 240 up to the R9 295X2, only the R5 230 is not part of the program. Like previous offers AMD’s Never Settle Forever operates a tiered system whereby the best graphics cards get more games. The usual Gold, Silver and Bronze system offers 3, 2 and 1 game(s) respectively.
So what’s new about the latest Never Settle Forever bundle? Well firstly there are some new additions to the offer. Up first is the latest blockbuster title “Thief” from Square Enix. This will be part of the Gold and Silver tiers only.
Next up is Murdered Soul Suspect which isn’t available yet but will be soon. This Square Enix title will again be available on the Gold and Silver tiers.
AMD have branched out a bit with the selection of games in their Never Settle program to include indie titles. Four Indie titles are made available which come in pairs of all possible combinations, the four titles are: Guacamelee! Gold Edition, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, The Banner Saga and DYAD.
AMD also says it has listened to customer feedback about classic game titles and as a result is bringing in some older titles like Alan Wake, Total War: Shogun 2, Just Cause 2 and more.
Each tier of the Never Settle Forever offer will come with access to some “bonus offers”. First is a three month usage code for Splashtop software which allows game streaming to mobile devices – possibly AMD’s attempt at countering Nvidia’s Remote GameStream technology that it offers on its SHIELD product. Next is a $10 off coupon for AMD’s Radeon RAMDisk 64GB software which brings the price down from $18.99 to $8.99. Lastly we have the “AMD Operator Bundle” which includes some exclusive in-game accessories for the free-to-play game FireFall.
There is a regional availability element to the Never Settle Forever offer. North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), New Zealand, Australia and Latin America (LATAM) have full access. Japan and other countries in the APAC/APJ region will have limited access to certain parts of the Never Settle Bundle. See the below diagram for more details.
Never Settle Forever codes will be provided to customers in either digital or physical form depending on which retailer or AMD partner you buy from. The coupons are all “single use” codes which mean that when you redeem the code you must select all your games at once, this is mainly relevant for the Gold and Silver bundles where you can choose multiple titles. AMD also notes that the reward tiers are subject to change throughout the program which mainly means that new titles may be added down-the-line, but also current titles can be withdrawn at any time (however that is unlikely). Finally, AMD notes that codes issued now are valid until August 31st meaning you can hold onto your codes in the hope newer and better titles might be added at a later date.
