Ivy Bridge Core i3 pricing revealed

The Core i3’s are by no means the most anticipated processors from the Ivy Bridge line up, nonetheless they should still offer some impressive performance levels for most office and home users. Three of the models to be launched and their pricings are:
- i3 3220, €113, $149
- i3 3225, €130, $172
- i3 3240, €132, $172
The i3 3220 processors is the equivalent of the i3 2100 in terms of cores and clock speed, featuring two cores at 3.3GHz. The i3 3225 also features two cores at 3.3GHz but this unit features the faster Intel HD 4000 graphics over the HD 2500 graphics on the i3 3220. Although, €17/$23 seems like a steep price to pay for slightly improved integrated graphics. The i3 3240 features two cores at 3.4GHz and this is the equivalent of the current i3 2120 processor, but this unit also retains the Intel HD 2500 over the newer and faster HD 4000.
All three chips have a few things in common:
- Dual cores
- Hyper Threading (4 threads)
- PCIe Generation 2
- Lack of turbo boost
