The launch of Ivy Bridge is still a quarter of a year away but thanks to some recent information we have been able to compile a mobile Ivy Bridge line up. The release plan is for 3 quad core Ivy Bridge mobile processors to be launched in April followed by the 3 mainstream dual core processors and 2 Ultra low voltage processors in May. The top of the range Core i7-3920XM Extreme Edition will be a quad core at 2.9GHz with 8 threads and 8MB of cache, this mobile processor also boasts an unlocked multiplier and off a TDP of just 55W.
The full line-up of Ivy Bridge Core i5s and Core i7s will support all advanced technologies, including Hyper-Threading, Turbo Boost, AES and Vpro. The processors will work with DDR3 memory with data rates up to 1600 MHz, and low-voltage DDR3 with data rates up to 1333 MHz. All Core i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge CPUs will incorporate HD 4000 graphics, clocked at 350 MHz on ULV, and 650 MHz on mainstream parts. Maximum frequency of on-chip graphics unit will range from 1150 to 1300 MHz, depending on SKU. ULV parts will be offered in BGA package, Core i7-3920XM will be manufactured in PGA package, and the rest of the chips will be available in both package types.
